Bartholomew came to inspect my chimney, which I thought needed patching but turned out to need a whole lot more. He was patient and understanding as he walked me through building codes, structural issues, what he thought had happened, and his plan to repair the chimney.

Once he got into it, it turned out to be more technical than originally thought. He was able to figure out how to make it work, and the result is fantastic.

They were quick, efficient, good natured, and willing to share what they were doing and why.

It was a pleasure working with them and I highly recommend A. B. Richards Professionals for all your chimney needs.

I had an overall great experience with A.B Richards Professionals.  Some things that stick out during my experience:

1.  Responsive and on-time.  Great at communication.

2.  Ability to fix interior and exterior gas fireplace issues

3.  Fair price and transparent financial process

4.  Service was friendly and the quality of work was spot on (fixed major leak and my fireplace looks bran new after cleaning - good at what they do).

Bartholomew and his wife went out of their way to squeeze me in on short notice.  They were very thorough and took the time to educate me about my fireplace and explain the work performed.  I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of work and would highly recommend them to anyone.  Honest and delightful folks. This team does fantastic work. I discovered there was a MASSIVE birds nest in the chimney of the house I recently bought. They came over the day after I called them and were in and out in about 30 minutes. They did an inspection of the upstairs fireplace and recommended some preventative maintenance to avoid this problem from happening again.

The whole thing only cost me $275.

They also did a complimentary inspection on my downstairs fireplace as well and pointed out why that fireplace filled my downstairs with smoke when used. They showed me some very concerning things about the previous owners "handy work" that should to be replaced.

I will 110% be calling them again when I'm ready to have my other fireplace worked on and for every yearly cleaning. They're the best!

The quality of the repair was better than I could of imagined.  We had a very complicated old chimney that was crumbling.  Their solution to repair was great and it turned out so good.  The level of detail and time they spent to make sure everything was done perfectly was amazing.  I am so happy I found them.  They were easy to work with, kind and professional.  They communicated all details along the way.  I would recommend them to everyone and will be calling them for any future chimney needs.

They cleaned our air ducts, sanitized the ducts to prevent mold and germs from growing, cleaned the furnace from blower motor to the exhaust flue to make it more efficient.

AB Richards fit me in emergently. Eric and Kris were top-notch. They came in and knew exactly what they were doing and did the work efficiently. They got a ton of crud out of my dryer vent and duct work. Kris fixed a problem he found with the dryer. And Eric fixed a problem that could have been fatal. The previous owner had stuffed insulation in the space where carbon monoxide is supposed to disperse. We felt so much better and breathed so much better after having this work done. Amazing results.

I have a 40' chimney and Bartholomew came the day I called, did all the work needed, trimmed the vines around my chimney flue's and raked up after the work was complete. I would highly recommend him to do any job you have. Honest guy and went the extra mile for me.
